SPOTLIGHT: The NLEC's newest CD-ROM, Evolving Issues in the Management of CHD. Be among the first to view slides and listen to faculty who presented at the NLEC Annual Update Meeting earlier this year. Up to 3 hours of category 1 credit are available towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award! Seven didactic presentations cover clinical issues important to those practicing in the field of lipid management, including: non–HDL-C, peripheral arterial disease, inflammatory markers such as C-reactive protein, and combination therapy. Two presentations examine basic-science issues that amplify the scope of everyday practice: using genomics to establish new targets for therapy and exploring the nonlipid effects of statins. To qualify for CME credit, users answer a few questions and complete four case studies. An exciting bonus offered in the case studies: Users can compare their answers to those of the NLEC members.
